What to Expect

When you arrive, Angelique will greet you in the waiting room, which is softly lit and quiet so you may begin your relaxation right away.
There will be a brief health history form to fill out on your first visit. Every massage session will begin with a few minutes of conversation while you and Angelique determine your needs for that day.
Complete privacy will be provided for disrobing, and you will be covered with sheets and a blanket during the entire massage. Only the area being worked will be exposed. Pillows and bolsters are used to provide the maximum support and comfort throughout the massage. You only need to undress to your level of comfort. Angelique will knock before returning to the room.
All treatments given by Angelique are strictly professional, nonsexual, and therapeutic only in nature.
You are welcome to chat during your massage but certainly not expected to carry on a conversation unless you want to. This is your time to relax and be cared for.
Open communication between you and Angelique is encouraged at all times in order to provide the most relaxed and effective massage. You are encouraged to ask questions.
A painful massage does not equal an effective massage! Please let me know if you need any adjustments to the pressure, background music or the temperature in the room. Your comfort is the priority.

How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session?

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains from tension or from repetitive activity. After an initial period of relaxation, people often experience increased energy and greater productivity that can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, you may feel the effects of the work for up to 72 hours. Depending on the type of work, you could experience muscle soreness or even headache and nausea as muscles release and trigger points (local or referred pain sites) are addressed. It is recommended you drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water afterward. Please openly communicate with your therapist about what you are feeling.
